We at CUFE were thrilled to have Prof. Jibrael Jose presiding over the leadership workshop. Moreover it was fun. There have been some incredible, positive, outcomes from the workshops. We started off the workshop as being the quieter ones, normally ended up being the ones to charge over planning the group activities. The transformational idea from leadership to followership was the core that made the part. The explanation about, why followership rather than leadership was to the point. The things that we wrote in the paper in the beginning of the session about our weakness, strengths etc. gave us a more wide perspective to think about ourselves and was a self-actualization practice. Since he said, he is not going to take the paper back; we were able to write it without any hesitation and worries. The icebreaker session was fun to do with and without convincing what a team job is, he made us to do the team work in time. The only thing we couldn’t come to a conclusion was about the “million dollar problem”. The Theatrical exercise gave us more confidence and we could feel the positive energy and enthusiasm fuming among us. The scenes we acted gave us a self-realization that how good we are expressing ourselves to others. It was more fun and learning combined in a perfect proportion. The most interesting and much awaited part of the session was the afternoon session. The fun with the wooden bricks and tactics in building the tallest structure was overwhelming. This team activity was more than a competition as we could feel the team spirit and encouragement that was emerging from the members, the same spirit as members were reduced each time. Since the idea of "building a cricket stadium" was being given earlier, we were fully planned. As being computer science students, it’s the first time in our college life we were facing this kind of a challenge which was not part of our stream. But we managed to do it because of the well planned execution of the team. Finally we departed with setting our goals in our mind. On the whole, the followership workshop was a new wonderful experience to all of us. A big thanks to Prof. Jibrael Jose for taking the effort to come to CUFE and making it happen.

World Music Day - June 21
If music be the food of love play on...that was Shakespeare who believed music to be the food of love. It is true that music is a language that knows no boundaries. Music unties cultures and eliminates boundaries. It is rightly referred to as the "Food for the Soul".
It is true that music has no language. Its speaks only one language. The language of Love, language of feelings, emotions. Music has the impact of changing ones life as well. Albert Einstein once said: "If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music." Well that is the influence of music.
Considering the new age music, the facts remain true. Well the popularity of "why this kolavery.." itself makes it clear that music has conk out from the streets of a small state to walls of rock ruled nations. I wish that the Earth be filled with music rather than with guns and terrorists.

INDEPENDENCE DAY WISHES
Lets remember the sacrifice of our freedom fighters at least for one day and lets forever be proud to be an INDIAN !!!!This Nation Will Remain, the Land Of The Free, Only So Long As, It Is The Home Of The Braves .....Happy Independence Day wishes to all...
A small thought :: U know whats special about the Letters 'G' & 'H'.....nothing common...no schism in between....,but what makes it different is that the two names that contain these letters..The legend GANDHI , who made every Indians dream come true...and the other Legend ...The HITLER , who made Germans dreams to nightmares....We do have the combination of two spirits in us...The point where we succeed is, by our decision by choosing the right spirit....

Do i need an expert driver for my new car?
While surfing through the net(though its only the frequent job),i came across the interesting fact that self driven cars have taken the wings on road and that too by the effort from giant tech top GOOGLE…what a surprise?..This shows the opening of a new era, where everything is gonna be automatized soon…but the unrealistic part of the story is that, GOOGLE is te key behind the automatic self driven technology(although sensors and other equipments are there)..
Google’s Sebastian Thrun, the software engineer who heads the project, gave a short talk at TED in Long Beach, California, about the effort — including a touching opening about how he was influenced to research ways to make driving safer by after a childhood friend had been killed by a car.Thrun showed a video montage of the auto-driving cars on regular roads that was pretty amazing. You could see the cars avoiding things like a deer that dashed in front of one or another making it carefully around a small hillside road, as a large truck came toward it.The car is going so fast because Google specifically programmed it to do so, in this case. Normally, it wouldn’t be making all those squeals and cornering so hard. But because it’s on a closed course, Google choose to demo that it can drive aggressively, if needed. You’ll notice the operator driving it at the very end, and that’s because the automated route ends a bit further back from the loading area.
The robo-car knows the route it’s supposed to follow, in this case. It needs a special route programmed, because there are no roads to follow. If it were on a regular street, typically a destination would be programmed in as with a GPS, a general route computed, and then the car would navigate. It has even driven routes from San Francisco to Los Angeles, all through automation, Google says.
It uses some radars sensors, video cameras and laser range finder to “see” other traffic, as well as detailed maps (which we collect using manually driven vehicles) to navigate the road ahead. This is all made possible by Google’s data centers, which can process the enormous amounts of information gathered by our cars when mapping their terrain…
Thats all for today…..bye from ashams….

love letters
ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY IS TRULY FICTIVE.and ANY RESEMBLANCE TO ANYONE LIVING IS SIMPLY COINCIDENCE.
It’s said that Valentine’s day is the day of Friendship and Love. But I don’t think the day is not simply meant for Friendship and love alone.
ABOUT
Saint Valentine’s Day, commonly shortened to Valentine’s Day,is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, Saint Valentine, and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”). The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.
Afterall this is a mere history…
Fact(The untold story)
Place: Aruvithura rest room
Being not fallen in love,(i think or even may be, a bad qulaity…ha..ha.)or to be precise it makes me less privileged to comment on LOVE.
“Well,I found her,to whom, I thought to express my love. Now i feel its the time to tell her?what’s u r opinion?” These words were not mine. One of my friends told me this on the fine eve of the 13th of February.Well what was my suggestion?..(its nice to push someone into trouble, even if he is your friend..ha..ha..)I told him:(“call her and tell her what u feel about her”).He just ranged her to tell his heart. To my surprise(..well i must correct it) to my shock,he simply handed over the phone.Suddenly i heard a sweet “helloo” from the other end.(പടച്ചോനെ പണി പറ്റി.)a complete black out..don’t know what to say?but to sang..ha.ha..not joking..(ഗുരുവിനെ മനസ്സില് വിചാരിച്ചു ഒരു melody അങ്ങ് പാടി.പെണ്ണ് ഫ്ലാറ്റ്.അവരുടെ പ്രണയം പൂവണിഞ്ഞു).Till now she dont know that the voice was mine. From that day,I decided not to help anyone in their love.(അസൂയ ).
